The following guidelines are subject to change by the Board of Directors of Colville Tribal Credit Corporation
The Auto Loan Program will provide funding to purchase new or used titled vehicles. In addition, a borrower can use a vehicle they own as collateral for a loan. This program is designed to offer loans which are competitively priced with the local banking industry.
- Eligible applicants include enrolled Colville Tribal members over age 18 and their spouse, if married.
How do I apply?
To apply for this loan, an applicant must submit the following:
- Completed and signed loan application.
- Income verification (current pay stub or two years of IRS tax returns)
- Purchase and Sales Agreement between the buyer and seller
- Proof of insurance showing Colville Tribal Credit Corporation as lien holder and a picture of the vehicle are required prior to disbursement of funds.
How much money can I apply for?
The amount of money an applicant can receive depends on the vehicle and the customer’s credit rating. Colville Tribal Credit can lend from 75% to 90% of the NADA Blue Book value plus licensing and title transfer fees. Please note that extended warranties and other extras like sealant or undercoating do not add value to the vehicle per the NADA Blue Book. Purchasing these additional options may result in a larger down payment for the borrower.
Example: A customer with an average credit rating turns in a Purchase and Sales Agreement that states the price of the vehicle is $16,000 and the customer traded in a vehicle with a net value of $2,000, leaving $14,000 left to finance. The NADA Blue Book value is $15,000. Tribal Credit can finance up to 90% of $15,000, which is $13,500. Therefore, the customer must have a cash down payment of $500 in addition to the trade in.
If I already have a loan with Tribal Credit, can I still apply?
Yes,
an applicant may apply if they currently have other loans at Colville
Tribal Credit. Colville Tribal Credit’s guidelines limit total
loans per borrower(s) at $525,000 for our best borrowers. In addition,
borrower must be within debt/income ratio guidelines.
Do I have to live in Washington?
The vehicle must be titled in the State of Washington so applicants must meet residency requirements for titling a vehicle in this state.
